Moon Cacao helping new mums in the fourth trimester

Moon Cacao is a nourishing herbal cacao blend created to support women, especially during the postpartum period and fourth trimester.

While I carefully refined the flavour, every ingredient was chosen for its healing and restorative properties. Cacao is naturally rich in magnesium and iron, two nutrients that are commonly depleted after birth. Magnesium supports nervous system regulation, muscle relaxation, sleep, and energy production, while iron is essential for energy, mood, thyroid function, and oxygen delivery throughout the body.

Moon Cacao also includes five supportive herbs and spices:

  • Shatavari for stress support, hormone balance, and digestion

  • Rose to soothe and calm emotionally

  • Ginger, cardamom, and black pepper to warm the body, ease bloating, support bowel function, and improve nutrient absorption

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, the postpartum body shifts into a “cold” state. Reintroducing warmth is essential for recovery, particularly after a caesarean birth. Moon Cacao acts as a gentle, warming daily tonic to support healing during this time.
